Merry Christmas. It doesn’t get much better than this…

…both my kids in the same place, with me, for Christmas. I love you both.

This year, Danny figured it out. Christmas 2009 video shows him leisurely tearing off strips of wrapping paper, and eventually, wandering off to play. This year, he dug in with both hands. Opening gifts is so much more fun with a two-year-old. It seems as though everything he got had Thomas the Tank Engine on it. He’s smitten. He can name all the engines, but has trouble saying them, so Thomas has become ‘Ommas’ and Henry is ‘Honkey.’ No clue.

We only have Nick here for a few days, but we’re treasuring them. He goes back to Michigan, back to work, readying himself for his Navy bootcamp start date. He’s 22, but has accomplished many things other people take much more time to do, like buying a beautiful home (at 20) and having a retirement fund and 401k already ongoing. Now he wants to go back and do it again, a different way.

I was fortunate enough to rise to the top (finally!) of the Southern Cross Fibre Club waiting list. Got my first shipment a week or so ago, and having spun it up into a tight twist singles, am now two-plying it. Nice stuff. I’ve not spent as much time spinning as I’d like. This should help me get back to the wheel.

Hope it was merry and bright for you all, my four or five remaining readers. šŸ˜‰
