I’m a little bit skeered. (Could you hold my hand?)

I’ve decided to take the plunge and start a Ravelry group. It’ll take me a week or two to get it together because I’d like to have everything in place before I announce it. I will send invites to everyone I know, but first and most especially to all here for your encouragement and kind words while I’ve been waffling about it. I am a little scared, but y’all have given me enough backbone to get started.

If you’ve got ideas about what you’d like to see in the group, please let me know. And one other thing…I have reason to believe that there is a possibility that I will be needing both a group administrator and a moderator (and if it gets big (as if…) I’ll need more. Yay!) Currently I’m waiting on a lot of base yarns and rovings, so right now dyeing the stuff and getting it put into shops is my priority. I don’t want to put the proverbial cart before the horse; I’ll keep y’all posted. 🙂

And that’s all I know for now. Back in a bit.

  1. hi! So is the group going on? I looked but did not find anything, but maybe I just didn’t search right. How did our “world’s worst commute” guy make out in the contest?

Happy spring to you all. – KVL

  2. so there must be no interested in coming to Ga, so understand. I do want to know why there is not a link to your etsy store. I am trying to send a link to a friend of mine.

  3. Hi! Can’t wait to have your group out there. Anything that brings your rainbows to more folks has to be a good thing. All the best! – KVL

  4. Yay! sounds fun! I’m ShellyKnits on ravelry and i’m on there waaaaay too much. Don’t be skeered!

  5. Hey Sis, I would be interested can’t wait. I am voting everyday for scott and have sent the link to some of my friends to have them to vote also. Glad to read that you are recovering hope you and hubby are better. love ya lots and miss you maybe you can come to visit and see new house and stay with us. let me know if there is any interest.

  6. Sorry for the double comment. I should have signed into Ravelry before hitting “post” on the last comment.

I was just checking out some other indie dyer groups and they’re doing these things in groups: KAL’s, favorite colorways and projects, contests, chatter about the sock club (ever thought about doing one of those?), and people are destashing and searching for specific colorways.

    Okay. I’m done chattering now.

  7. Yay! I look forward to joining your group!

I’d be happy to be a moderator for you. I mod the Colorado group so I have some experience. I pretty much take a hands off approach unless someone violates the Ravelry Community Guidelines.

Remember that Mystery yarn I bought from you? I’ll be casting off its socks tonight! And no – I still don’t know what the yarn is, but I hand wash all my socks so it doesn’t really matter. It is such a lovely colorway. 🙂

I'd love to hear from you...
